This Privacy Policy explains how Job Selection ("we", "us") collects, uses and protects the personal data you submit through our public job-application form, and through our recruitment process more generally.

Who we are

What data we collect

• Identity and contact details: first name, last name, phone number, email address.
• Nationality (used to route your application to the right recruitment team).
• The position you are applying for.
• Your CV/resume file, and any information it contains (work history, qualifications, certifications, photo if included).
• Technical data associated with your submission: the date and time of your application, and the IP address used to submit the consent below (kept as evidence that consent was given).

Why we process your data

We process your data to evaluate your application, match you with suitable job openings, contact you about opportunities, and manage the recruitment and (if successful) embarkation/placement process. The legal basis for this processing is your consent, given when you submit the application form.

Who we share it with

Your data may be shared with shipping companies, hotel operators, or other employers we are recruiting for, strictly for the purpose of evaluating you for a role you have applied to or may be suited for. Because our clients operate internationally, this can involve transferring your data outside the European Economic Area; where this happens, we take reasonable steps to ensure your data remains protected. We do not sell your personal data to third parties.

How long we keep your data

We retain your application data for as long as reasonably necessary to consider you for current and future opportunities, or until you ask us to delete it, whichever comes first.

Your rights

Depending on your location, you may have the right to:

• Access the personal data we hold about you;
• Request correction of inaccurate data;
• Request deletion of your data;
• Restrict or object to certain processing;
• Request a copy of your data in a portable format;
• Withdraw your consent at any time (this does not affect processing carried out before the withdrawal);
• Lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your data, including restricting access to candidate information and CVs to authorized recruitment staff only.
